Where The Flaws May Fall

Hi Human,

If you are here then we probably have something in common, most likely excellent taste in fandoms and/or characters but I'm going to try to give you something more than that to work with because let’s be honest impeccable taste in media is not a lot to go on.

Please Note: Length of fandom sections or the order the fandoms are in is no indication of how much I want fic for any given fandom

General Likes:

• Accidental Marriage (in any and all Forms)/Secret Marriage( Both staying hidden and being revealed)

• Relationship Reveals

• Characters getting what they want and thought they couldn’t have

• Outsider POV (Nothing is more fun for me than having someone fondly and exasperatedly watch as two idiots try to get their shit together)

• Tried and True Tropes( e.g. Bodyswap, SurpriseTelepathy, Sex Pollen, SoulBond, OmegaVerse, Werewolves, Amnesia, FakeDating)

• Domestic/Curtain Fic (Who doesn’t want to see Intergalactic Criminals or Superheros go grocery shopping)

• Banter and playful/loving Bickering

• Happy Endings  (Please...this is actually the most important one)

• Humor (a love a little funny with my fic)

• Kissing, hugging, holding hands, cuddling, non-sexual physical contact in general (I mean this for friends and partners, you don’t gotta have characters fucking everytime they touch)

• People who fail at emotions (see this for a good description: https://thefourthvine.dreamwidth.org/170414.html)

• Mutually Requited Pining (If I gotta hear about how much Char A likes and wants to be with Char B, those two better end up being together)

• Safe Sane and Consensual BDSM (All parties need to want to be there, be in a state to make that choice and be fully informed about what they are agreeing to, also really love good foreplay and aftercare)

• Found Family

• Just generally like people being fond of each other esp people who don’t seem like they go together

• Explorations of taking concepts from Canon to their logical extent, or adding a little realism( like the amount of therapy John Wick needs cannot be measured by modern machinery but whoo buddy wouldn’t that be interesting to see or how does the assassin economy really work?)

• Enemies to Lovers (Give me that sweet sweet hatred turning to respect turing to understanding, turning to longing)

• Themes of loyalty and devotion in general. Protectiveness and Possessiveness are good too.

• Well rounded characters with real people feelings and motivations

• Apocalypse/post-apocalypse scenarios, regardless of whether done as an AU or some kind of post-canon possibility thing. (Please do not end the world, I am le tired and don’t have the energy for another apocalypse rn tbh)

• Intimacy of any kind really ( The The Mortifying Ordeal of Being Known is where I liiiiiiive)

• “missing scenes” and “what if” canon-divergent situations are my jam, as are continuations from where canon left us depending on the fandom

• Fix it fics

General Dislikes:

• Crack!fic or parody

• Animal or Child Death

• Noncon or Rapeplay/Consentual NonConsent (Just the largest of Nopes)

• Heterosexual Relationships (Not entirely opposed just a strong preference for Queer relationships)

• Grimdark for Grimdark’s sake (Like i get some of the canon material is gritty on its own but I desire happy things while I have to exist in this hellscape so please just end happily)

• Character Bashing (Please don’t villainize someone just to make a plot point or a romance work)

• Infidelity

• Miscarriages (If there’s a pregnancy there damn well better be a baby)

• Reader Insert

• 1st Person POV

• Healing Cock (A good dicking down might be the solution to something but it sure as hell doesn't fix most things)

• Please do not gender swap characters unless their gender exploration is the goal of the story

• Breakup fic (Unless there is emotional Growth and a Make up/Getting back together I don’t want it)

Fandom Specific Stuff:

John Wick:

IDK here I just love the aesthetics and groove of these movies, it’s all just so ::clenches fist:: . I love all the characters and at this point what I deeply desire is someone who loves John Wick enough to fight, with/for/alongside him. Like I want him to get loved so bad, he’s so beat up and torn and a mess emotionally and physically I just want someone to take care of him. Realistic? No. What my heart of hearts wants? Yes.

Sky High:

This movie was gleefully terrible and I loved it. Superhero Highschool? Ridiculous Power Shenanigans? Teenagers Dealing with Expectations of who they should be? Sign Me Up.

Some Prompts that you should feel in no way obliged to use:

• Will and Warren accidentally fall in love over the course of the rest of Highschool

• Someone’s power messes up and Bonds Will and Warren in  some way 

• Layla watches or facilitates those two idiots getting their act together

• Sweet domestic Magenta/Layla

• Dealing with the fall out of their Freshman Year

The Mummy Series:

I am a huge Jon/Ardeth shipper but literally any pairing in this universe with these glorious disasters would make me happy. Honestly I just really want the two of them together being big gay disasters together. Also this is one of the rare fandoms where I love the main couple, Rick and Evie are honestly goals, sappy and sweet and so very devoted to each other.

Fantastic Four:

I ship Ben/Johnny Storm with a burning (pun entirely meant) passion. Those two together brings me Joy.

Some Prompts that you should feel in no way obliged to use:

• Ben and Johnny helping each other adjust to their powers and the down sides

• Domestic Cuddling

• Accidentally Dating/Didn’t Know they were dating Ben/Johnny

• Gen or Shippy fic dealing with what has to be an absolutely bananas life change and finding a new normal

Sports Night:

I love any and all of the characters in this show, I love the pace and the dialog and the relationships, their depth and history together and how Human everyone has to be to do this together. I heavily ship Dan/Casey and if there is a pairing in the story I would prefer it be them.

Some Prompts that you should feel in no way obliged to use:

• Dan and Casey have been together since College (either in an open relationship or an AU where they stay together either closested or not)

• Dan and Casey coming out on the air through a series of comedies of error( by accident or not dealers choice)

• Dan and Casey as retired people getting together for a reunion type thing with the others and finally confirming they are together

Philadelphia Flyers RPF:

I love any and all of these dorks but I am/was/have been invested more heavily in Brioux (Claude Grioux/Danny Briere) in the past. Though Pretty much any pairing in this Fandom would be excellent. In Hockey type fics I very much prefer that all involved are still Hockey Players regardless of any AU added, so an NHL soulmate AU would be fine but a Patty Nolan is a Barista CoffeeshopAU wouldn’t be.
